A Quiet Treasure is a series of five hand-drawn sketches inspired by the artistry and symbolism of imperial, jewel-like objects. Echoing the spirit of Fabergé without imitation, each work explores ornamentation as protection — layers of filigree, armour, and precious detail forming a vessel that conceals something unseen.
Drawn with meticulous attention to line, texture, and rhythm, the egg form becomes both object and metaphor: a container of value, history, and quiet power. The monochrome palette allows the intricacy of the drawing to take precedence, inviting close inspection and prolonged engagement.
Individually titled A Quiet Treasure I–V, the sketches function as variations within a single idea — each distinct, yet bound by a shared language of craftsmanship, restraint, and reverence for decorative heritage.
The series celebrates the beauty of objects made slowly, thoughtfully, and with intention — treasures not defined by opulence alone, but by the care with which they are imagined and created.
